Catalog Library at Senior Residence
Location: Linda and Jerry Spitzer Residence
351 East 61st Street, Manhattan 10021

Time: 11-3pm
Number of Volunteers Needed: 12
Description: Met Council owns and operates low income housing sites throughout all the five boroughs. At our East 61st Street building there is a large library in the community room, however not many of the residents use it because it is not organized and it is hard to find books. With our new catalogue system, each book will be categorized accordingly and will be entered into a database to make the library more usable. Volunteers for this event will be labeling and making card catalogues for each book. Volunteers do not need to bring any additional equipment or tools for this event. Lunch will be provided.
