Food Packaging in Canarsie

A few VISTA’s all met in Canarsie at Met Council’s food warehouse on Tuesday morning of AmeriCorps Week to help package food. The warehouse distributes more than 13,000 kosher food packages each month to families all throughout the metro area and they are always in need of volunteers. On Tuesday morning alone, the VISTA’s made over 300 food packages. Thank you VISTA’s for taking the journey out to Canarsie!
