Organizing the Library at a Senior Residence

On Monday, May 12th, students from the High School for Public Service and AmeriCorps volunteers organized the library at one of Met Council’s housing sites in Manhattan. The library is fairly large and has an extensive array of books, however not many of the residents are able to use it because they do not know what books are in the library nor is there a system to find books. The volunteers labeled the books and entered the books into a database to make it more useable for the residents. Thank you to all the volunteers for all your help. I am sure the residents appreciate it!
