Paint Away the Damages of Hurricane Sandy!
Date: Sunday March 3rd
Location: Far Rockaway, Queens (transportation from downtown Manhattan will be provided)
Time/Details: Leaving at 10am from downtown (arrival app. 11am). Bus goes back at 4pm (arrival app. 5pm).
Description: Come help the Jewish Community Council in Far Rockaway! The JCC of Far Rockaway was hit hard by Hurricane Sandy and is looking for volunteers to help re-paint their damaged hallway ahead of an important press conference later this month. Additionally, volunteers will help the local community get back on its feet by distributing information about Met Council’s new Benefits Access Center in Far Rockaway. The Benefits Access Center helps hurricane Sandy victims by providing much-needed benefits and legal assistance to the community. We need your help spreading the word!
